Make Your Own Caffeine-Free Tea


Don’t want the caffeine, but all you have on-hand is caffeinated black or green tea. Here is an easy solution to decaffeinate it yourself. Some people say to steep your tea for about 30 seconds, throw out the first wash of tea, and then re-brew. We recommend brewing your first cup for 10 minutes. Researchers completed a study of how long it takes to remove the caffeine from a tea sachet. They discovered that brewing your first batch for a good 10 minutes will get rid of about 90% of the caffeine. This does mean you will have to wait longer and our teas do just fine being brewed multiple times.
